Summer is not going anywhere yet, but when August comes around the corner I naturally start thinking about the impending school year and cooler temperatures. Before I know it summer will be vanishing. But for now, my boys and I are indulging in late evenings and flexible schedules.
Some of their favorite summer activities involve catching, but I'm not referring to sports. Frogs, fireflies, and fish have been creating memories for them this season.
They are not afraid to get dirty and welcome the feel of sticky feet, slippery skin, and wiggly antennae. These creatures will soon be gone when autumn temperatures make an entrance, vanishing with the late evening sun, but the story of this summer will not.
Until that does happen, they are staying busy... trying to catch summer!
